The aim is plain: explain a third-party mod honestly — what it does, where it breaks, and which claims circulating about it are not verifiable. We do not invent test data or quote ban-rate percentages that nobody can measure.

What we do

How we verify each release

Each APK published on this site passes the following checks. We list both what we do and what we cannot verify — readers can apply their own judgment.

1. Multi-engine antivirus scan. The site URL and the published APK URL are submitted to VirusTotal (which scans across 90+ security vendors). At time of writing, the site URL scan returns 0 / 92 detections — see the live report: VirusTotal report for gbwhattspro.com. A fresh scan can be triggered from the same page; the result updates immediately.
2. Signature check. The APK's v2/v3 signing certificate is verified against the previous release's certificate. If a release ships under a different key, the download does not go live until we identify why — a key change is one of the strongest indicators of a hijacked build.
3. SHA-256 hash published per release. The hash for the live APK is printed on the download page under "File integrity". Compute the hash of any file you downloaded and compare — if it matches, the file is byte-identical to what we published; if not, treat the file as suspect and re-download.
4. First-launch network review. A fresh install is observed for its outbound connections. Only Meta's WhatsApp servers (*.whatsapp.net, *.whatsapp.com) should appear. If anything else is contacted on first launch, the build is held back.

What we explicitly do not claim

• Ban-rate percentages. Meta does not publish ban data, and no third party can credibly measure it across a population of users. Anyone quoting a specific percentage (us included) is guessing — we removed those claims from this site after a 2026 audit.
• "Lowest", "safest", "official" superlatives. These are unverifiable. We describe what v18.80 changed at the protocol-routing level (which can be inspected from release notes and disassembly) and leave the league-table claims to the reader.
• Install counts. We do not collect telemetry. Any "100M+ installs" figure circulating about GB WhatsApp Pro is unsourced — we did not invent it and we no longer display it.

Editorial standards

Reviews on this site reflect honest assessments. We disclose limitations — for example, that GB WhatsApp Pro has non-zero account-ban risk and is unsuitable for phone numbers tied to banking OTPs or 2FA. We do not accept payment to alter reviews. Corrections are welcome — contact us if you find a factual error and we will publish a correction with a dated note.
